UMMOA changing its charitable focus for the year 2012

The United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA) for the year 2012 will be changing the focus of its charitable donations.

In 2012, the UMMOA plans to focus its meagre resources only in five main areas:
  1. the protection of digital rights;
  2. challenging harmful food production technologies, and promoting sustainable alternatives;
  3. the protection of public health and the environment;
  4. the defense of indigenous peoples around the world, their lands, languages, and cultures;
  5. the protection of freedom in the patent system (protecting freedom from illegitimate restraint).
To this end, the UMMOA will only support the following non-profit organisations: the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF); the Center for Food Safety (CFS); the Environmental Working Group (EWG); Cultural Survival; and the Public Patent Foundation (PUBPAT).
